Several Suspects Arrested During Downtown Sweep

Twenty-five people were arrested by Bakersfield police during a patrol of downtown Bakersfield.
The sweep Wednesday was intended to increase the presence of officers to stop criminal activity. Downtown business owners have been the target of numerous acts of vandalism over the past several months.
Police say Christopher Alexander, 47, was arrested on suspicion of four burglary offenses that happened in the downtown area.
