Rite Aid Bankrupt – Closing Stores

Rite Aid is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will be closing some of its stores.

The Pennsylvania-based company is more than $3 billion in debt as it deals with flagging sales and federal lawsuits over opioid prescriptions.

Up to 500 of Rite Aid’s roughly 2,100 stores will be closed as part of a restructuring plan.
