From DUI to TUI, Teacher Jailed While Teaching

A second-grade teacher in Live Oak, CA was arrested for allegedly showing up to work drunk.

Police say 57-year-old Wendy Munson-Swartz had a BAC more than twice the legal limit when she drove to work and began teaching her class.

She faces drunk driving and child abuse charges.

Nuestro Elementary School says the matter is being investigated and that a substitute will take over the class “until further notice”
