FDA Rejects EpiPen Spray Alternative

The FDA has rejected a needle-free alternative to the EpiPen.

‘Neffy’ is an epinephrine nasal spray used to treat severe allergic reactions.

On Tuesday, the FDA said that more studies were needed before the drug could be approved.

ARS Pharmaceuticals said it was “very surprised” by the rejection – especially since an FDA advisory committee approved it in May.
