Airline Told To Compensate Travelers For Delays

Southwest Airlines will fork over a $140 million settlement over last year’s holiday travel fiasco.
The airline canceled nearly 17,000 flights due to last December’s winter storms, stranding more than 2 million travelers.
On Monday, the Department of Transportation announced a record $140 million fine – 30 times larger than any previous consumer protection fine.
