18 People Arrested for Suspected Impaired Driving

Eighteen people with felony arrest warrants were taken into custody Wednesday in a multi-agency operation related to impaired driving.

According to Bakersfield.com, the suspects, ranging in age from 23 to 60 years, were arrested in a coordinated action involving the Arvin Police Department, Delano Police Department, Kern County District Attorney’s Office and Kern County Probation Department.

Bakersfield.com reports District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer said in a news release Thursday, “I’m proud of the fine work of our District Attorney’s Office and local law enforcement agencies to bring victims justice and hold offenders accountable for their crimes. Our dedicated Traffic Safety Unit will work diligently to ensure that every criminal is met with the rightful conviction they’ve earned.”
