Flex Alert Issued

The California Independent System Operator has issued a statewide Flex Alert due to predicted high temperatures.
The alert remains in effect August 17 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
California ISO says a statewide Flex Alert calls for voluntary electricity conservation during high temperatures. The ISO says conserving energy may prevent emergency measures such as power outages and can help stabilize the power grid.
