Fatal Shooting in Central Bakersfield

A man was shot and killed Tuesday in central Bakersfield.
Bakersfield police report the incident occurred at around 12:00 p.m. at Houchin Road and Terrace Way near Benton Park in the Oleander/Sunset area.
The victim was declared dead at the scene.
