Crews Tackle Fires in Taft

A mobile home fire in Taft has left one person injured and three cats dead.
Flames broke out around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at a mobile home park in the 100 block of 10th Street. There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, a smoke alarm alerted residents to a house fire in south Taft.
Firefighters went to the house in the 300 block of Asher Avenue Wednesday afternoon where two people lived.
They both got out safely before firefighters arrived.
